The Ministry of the Economy and Finance (MEF) notes that two fake Facebook accounts in the name of Minister Michel Patrick Boisvert were created by ill-intentioned and unidentified individuals. In these false accounts, they disseminate information and make allusions that have nothing to do with Minister Boisvert.

The Ministry specifies to all those interested in the question that Minister Michel Patrick Boisvert has no Facebook account and declines all responsibility for information or actions emanating from these accounts.

The MEF reminds the authors of these accounts that their act constitutes identity theft, and therefore a public law crime punishable both by the laws of the Republic of Haiti and by international conventions on identification rights.

As a result, public action was set in motion to prosecute these people and bring them before whom it may concern.
