Jean-Claude Legagneur, Director General of the Museum of the Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH) learned with sadness the news of the passing away of Professor Webert Lahens, which occurred on February 2 at the "Massachusetts General Hospital" in Boston at the age of 71, after a long illness...

"Cultural journalist, Wébert Lahens was passionate about artistic creation in Haiti. Through his interventions, his meetings with artists, his research, his articles and informed comments, he has contributed considerably to the documentation of Haitian art.

The MUPANAH will keep fond memories of Webert Lahens, in particular, through numerous and interesting cultural articles [...] In this painful circumstance, Jean-Claude Legagneur asks his family and loved ones to accept his sincere sympathies."
