Louis Gonzague E. Day, Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), met this Tuesday, February 9, 2021, with Giuseppe Loprete, Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and Bruno Lemarquis, the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) on the various MHAVE projects that he intends to carry out shortly with the support of the United Nations for the regularization of the status of undocumented Haitians living outside the country.

The opportunity for Minister Day to talk about the achievements of his Ministry to facilitate the integration of the Diaspora by taking the example of the Constitutional Congress of the Diaspora as well as the services of the National Identification Office (ONI) who make identification cards for our compatriots in the Diaspora at the MHAVE Kiosk at Toussaint Louverture International Airport.

The two high dignitaries of the United Nations expressed their willingness to work with the Haitian Government for the regularization of undocumented Haitians living in Latin America, particularly in Brazil and Chile.
