Friday February 12, James Jacques, the Consul General of the Consulate of Haiti in Santiago (Dominican Republic) had an important meeting with Victor Garcia Sued Regional Director of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and SMEs of Comercio and Leornardo Valverde, in charge of regional SMEs North of the Ministry.

It was discussed during this first meeting the possibilities:

A partnership agreement for the benefit of Haitian doctors trained in the Dominican Republic;

An internship agreement for Haitian students trained in Business and Tourism Administration;

The possibility of an agreement in the fields of sport and youth development.

Exchange visits between the chamber of commerce of the northern region of the Dominican Republic and that of Haiti

Exchange visits to the departments in charge of free zones.

Further planning meetings are planned with a view to concretizing the various points discussed.
