iciHaiti - Insecurity : The Association of Industries of Haiti deeply concerned
The Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) expresses its deep concerns about the worsening of the general insecurity situation that the country is undergoing, sparing no one, within Haitian society.

ADIH notes that the security situation in Port-au-Prince and other areas of the country continues to deteriorate, causing the tragic increase in cases of "kidnapping" and the control of certain areas by armed gangs operating with impunity, preventing peaceful citizens from going about their business, causing tragic loss of life in too many cases.

In solidarity with the victims, their families and loved ones, the ADIH urges the State to assume with even more determination its responsibilities to protect the life and property of citizens and to take adequate security measures that can reduce as much as possible the "danger" represented by these armed individuals within the population.

The Association notes the efforts of the body of the National Police of Haiti, with a higher strength through the streets. However, she believes that more must be done to achieve the results long awaited by the population, on their knees in the face of this galloping and intolerable insecurity.

Having already informed the Government of its concerns, ADIH reiterated its determination to play its role in any effort aimed at bringing peace to Haiti as quickly as possible.
