Friday April 9, during a joint operation carried out by the Departmental Service of Judicial Police, (SDPJ) North and the police of Grande Rivière du Nord, the named Richardson Césaire (19) was arrested in Bostage, Communal Section of Dondon.

Richardson Césaire tried to oppose his arrest and opened fire on law enforcement officials who responded. During the exchange of fire with the police, Césaire sustained injuries to his right calf and thigh before being arrested. He had in his possession a firearm manufactured in Romania of Caliber 7.62 × 39 mm as well as a magazine filled with 7 cartridges.

Two other suspects were also arrested, they are John Berlin (16 years old) cousin of Richardson Césaire living in Port-au-Prince (Sarthre) and Graine-Garçon Mondésir (18) living in Bostage.
