Thursday April 22, 2021, in the presence of Martine Moise, the First Lady of Haiti, Marie Gréta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health and its Director General Dr. Laure Adrien, Dr. Ernst Robert Jasmine Departmental Director of the health of the North and several other authorities in the region, took place the inauguration ceremony of a brand new health center in the commune of Baron (North Dept.).

In her remarks for the occasion Martine Moïse declared "I would like to thank all the national and international actors, who joined forces to reach the population of the Baron Community [...] Today, we are starting to disseminate health in the region. Baron and in many towns in the countryside. Long live health for a stronger Haiti."

This health center carried out and supported by the Support Project for the Mother-Child Health Continuum (ACOSME-Haiti) which is a cooperation project of Canada to provide various health services to the population without traveling far, and offers in particular :

• Health services for mothers and children (care for pregnant women, childbirth, family plan, vaccine, nutritional monitoring of babies and children);

• General consultation;

• Consultations for babies and children;

• Laboratory examinations;

• Several patient monitoring rooms;

• First aid for the emergency 24/24.
