Stéphane Gilles, the Consul General of Haiti in Miami recalls in a note, that May is the month of Haitian heritage and although Covid-19 abruptly interrupted this event in 2020, today, while the communities begin to gradually return to normal life, many cities celebrate this month virtually and at local events.

"From small cultural gatherings to beautiful art exhibitions, to a handful of musical celebrations, it is essential to commemorate Haitian Flag Day and all that is Haitian."

"[...] I encourage all of you to share our Haitian heritage and make a plan to be immersed in the vibrant colors, spicy flavors and exciting sounds that our culture reflects."
