iciHaiti - DINEPA : Launch of Phase II of rehabilitation and extension of drinking water networks
Wednesday May 5, 2021, following the inauguration, by Jovenel Moïse last January, of the hydraulic infrastructures of the Tabarre 68 pumping station and of the 2,000 m3 reservoir of Vivy Mitchell https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-32816-icihaiti-social-moise-inaugurates-new-dinepa-infrastructures.html the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) has launched the Phase II of the rehabilitation and extension of drinking water networks in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince.
These new works financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) consist in the construction of distribution networks to allow the inhabitants of the communes of Pétion-ville, Delmas, Tabarre, Carrefour, Port-au-Prince and of Cité Soleil to benefit a considerable improvement in access to quality drinking water services while contributing to an increase in the number of subscribers.
