iciHaiti - Delmas : Inauguration of the Mediation and Legal Popularization Office

Thursday May 13, in the presence among others of Me Renan Hedouville, the Citizen Protector, Me Patrick Jn Baptiste Representative of the City of Delmas, Pascal Hajaali, Representative of the French Cooperation in Haiti, Lawyers of the Prosecutor's Office of Port-au-Prince, representatives of international organizations, representatives of human rights organizations, the town hall of Delmas together with the Office for the Protection of the Citizen (OPC) inaugurated the Office of mediation and legal popularization.

As part of a Memorandum of Understanding, the Town Hall of Delmas has made this new building available to the OPC, which will house the mediation and legal popularization office at the commune level. This Office will facilitate the Mediation of family, administrative, social and other conflicts in the municipality and its surroundings.

In his remarks for the occasion, Me Patrick Jn Baptiste said he was convinced that this office will help establish a climate of peace and security in the town.

For his part, Me Renan Hedouville thanked Mayor Wilson Jeudy for his frank collaboration, which he said has never stopped innovating to make his municipality a model. The Citizen's Protector recalled that all the legal authorities of the OPC will be available in order to offer free services to the Haitian population.
