iciHaiti - Technology : Computerization of judicial cases in 11 of the 18 jurisdictions

Rockefeller Vincent, the Minister of Justice presented to national and international opinion the progress of the Computerized Management of Judicial Cases Program (GICAJ) which aims to make the Haitian judicial system more efficient and which want to be an essential lever in the fight against prolonged preventive detention carried out by the Ministry in concert with the Superior Council of the Judicial Power (CJSP).

Indeed, since 2015 at the date of its implementation https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15368-haiti-justice-opening-of-the-new-judicial-year.html, the program is installed in 11 of the 18 jurisdictions of the country and serves litigants with satisfaction.

The GICAJ avoids the loss of files, facilitates data entry and access to searches by names, dates or file numbers. It allows better harmony between the Government Commissioners and the Deans of the Courts in the management of cases.

The Ministry of Justice together with the Superior Council of Judicial Power, is currently implementing the GICAJ in other jurisdictions such as Port-de-Paix and Les Cayes https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33184-haiti-news-zapping.html with the support of the American Agency for International Development (USAID - Haiti) through the "Justice Sector Strengthening Program" (JSSP) Project and ensures its sustainability in all jurisdictions of the country.
