iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : Final date for the payment of the CFPB before the forced recovery
Friday, May 28, the Municipal Commission of Cap-Haitien chaired a working session with members of the tax department and the cabinet of Me Evel Fanfan around the forced recovery of the Land Contribution of Built Properties (CFPB).

Let's recall that initially, the Municipal Commission had privileged the way of negotiation with recalcitrant taxpayers, then there was the phase of formal notice served by bailiff.

From now on, taxpayers have until Friday June 4, 2021 to get in good standing with the tax authorities, because the period of grace and taxpayer awareness is over and the Municipal Commission intends to intervene in force to enforce the decree of April 5, 1979 on the CFPB which authorizes tenants or usufructuaries to pay rental tax in the absence of the owners. (even unfinished constructions are no exception to the rule).

The Municipal Administration warns the taxpayers concerned that the provisions of article 16 of the law of 22 August 1983 on the forced recovery of State debts will be applied in all their rigor against all those who do not want to pay the CFPB.
