The Embassy of Haiti in Mexico regrets to announce the passing of Vilsaint Occean Exzulme (Sensei), a remarkable figure of the Haitian community in Mexico.

Mr. Vilsaint was known for "his kindness, his willingness to help, his generosity. His departure represents a great loss for the Haitian community in Mexico. "

Her funeral was sung on Sunday June 13, 2021.

Born in Port-au-Prince, October 17, 1950 Vilsaint began in martial arts with his brother Anor Occean in 1968 in the technique of Shoto Kan. He was Haitian national champion in the light fighting category at the age of 18.

After traveling a lot he moved to Mexico in 1977 where he met Professor Tsunaori Sakakura who introduced him to the Nippon Kempo technique.

From 1977 to 1987 he obtained several first places at the national level in full contact combat and opened his first school in 1987. In 1994, Vilsaint obtained his official diploma, certifying it as a teacher of Nippon Kempo. He obtained his 4th dan in August 2000. Note that this is the first recognition of this species in Mexico. He was also technical director of the Nippon Kempo Association and responsible for referees, as well as the Shi-sei Kan Club.
