Sunday, August 8, alerted to the presence of armed individuals who were ransoming passers-by under threat in Santo 25 (Croix-des-Bouquets), a police patrol went to the scene and quickly identified 3 suspicious individuals on board a red Lingken motorcycle registered PR-69015 in the act.

Seeing the patrol, the motorcycle driver opened fire on the police who immediately retaliated.

During the exchange of fire with the police, 2 of the 3 ransomers were fatally injured while the driver of the motorcycle managed to escape.

The legal finding of the Justice of the Peace indicates that a Smith & Wesson brand pistol equipped with a magazine containing 13 cartridges of 9mm caliber, was found as well as a driver's license in the name of Brival Kesnel and a World Food Program card at the name of Kesnel Joseph, two cards found on the same person, with different names.
