iciHaiti - FAO : Distribution of thousands of improved breed laying hens 12/08/2021 10:58:45 The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) distributed 7,000 laying hens and 500 improved breed roosters to 1,000 vulnerable households, distributed among the neighborhoods of Bas Delmas, Canaan and some displaced people currently living in the Bourdon Valley, which were once in Taba Issa. This assistance is carried out within the framework of the "Project to restore the livelihoods of 4,000 vulnerable households affected by the socio-economic crisis and insecurity", financed by the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) FAO is committed to continuing to support the efforts of the Government of Haiti in restoring the livelihoods of vulnerable populations in order to improve and stabilize their food security.
