Following the earthquake of August 14, the President of Brazil, Jair Messias Bolsonaro President of Brazil ordered to send a solidarity contingent composed of 32 firefighters, nearly 7 tons of emergency supplies, as well as 3.5 tons of medical supplies for emergencies.

"Less than a week ago, I received a request from our Haitian brothers, quickly the Armed Forces as well as our diplomatic corps, among other organizations, programmed this mission," declared Jair Messias Bolsonaro President of Brazil

This Brazilian humanitarian aid weighing more than 10 tons took off on Sunday August 22 aboard an Air Force KC-390 Millennium. Initially, the plane will make two stops in the states of Pará and Bahia to arrive later in Port-au-Prince.

"The Haitian people know that they have always counted and will always be able to count on the fraternal spirit of Brazil", declared Walter Braga Netto, Minister of Defense.
