A few hours after being kidnapped on the national road number 1, at the level of the coupe in Limbé (municipality of Acul du Nord), 3 employees of the Dominican firm Estrella (two Dominicans and a Haitian) were released Tuesday, August 24 2021, thanks to a police intervention.

The kidnappers demanded a large ransom in exchange for the release of their hostages and to recover the materials and equipment that the victims were transporting to Cap-Haitien.

Informed of the kidnapping, the police authorities of the North department quickly set up an operation which allowed the release of the hostages as well as the recovery of the materials.

The kidnappers who fled, are already identified by the police, it is Thony (thus known) Boucan (thus known) and Couno (thus known) are actively sought.
