Friday September 17, 2021 on the sidelines of the 6th CELAC Summit (Mexico City September 16 to 18) Claude Joseph the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with his Mexican counterpart, Marcelo Luis Ebrard Casaubon around the strengthening and revitalization of relations between Haiti and Mexico.

The humanitarian situation in Haiti following the passage of the earthquake of August 14 in the great South, post-earthquake reconstruction, the relaunch of the work of the Haiti-Mexico Joint Commission and the continuation of ongoing bilateral cooperation projects in various fields were the main topics on the agenda.

The two Chancellors took the opportunity to sign the Academic Collaboration Agreement between the Jean Price Mars Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Haiti and the Matias Romero Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.
