iciHaiti - Politic : Dominican inter-institutional meeting to strengthen border security 18/09/2021 11:18:45
This meeting was co-chaired by Luis Pérez Director of Haitian Relations of the Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and José Sánchez Deputy Director of the Border Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a meeting attended by the police and military authorities of the region, as well as Vice-consul Erica Reyes and representatives of the business and commerce sectors of Dajabón During this meeting the emphasis was placed on compliance with the system of regularization of border post controls, so that commercial activities and relations between the two nations take place normally in compliance with the protocols and laws in force. Likewise, the question relating to the granting of identity cards for border residents, as established by Law 285-04, on immigration matters was discussed. Exchanges took place with businessmen and traders, including Idelfonso Cruz George, from the Association of Dajabón traders. SL/ iciHaiti
