iciHaiti - Politic : Handing over of subsidy checks to 20 young athletes
Petricks Justin, Minister of Youth and Sports accompanied by Director General and his Chief of Staff, handed over subsidy checks to 20 young athletes from 5 sports federations, a contribution from the Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports in Francophone countries (CONFEJES) through its Support Promotion Elite-Jeunes (APEJ) program.

Minister Justin praised the CONFEJES program which allows young people from member countries of the French-speaking organization to cover light expenses and continue to develop their sporting talents while continuing their studies. He believes that this contribution constitutes a motivation for young French-speaking athletes.

Justin recognized that the State's contribution to the Federations is insufficient and does not always affect young athletes who often face urgent needs for transport and the acquisition of equipment. He took the opportunity to invite members of the private sector to consider the possibility of sponsoring talented and influential athletes. A practice that is likely to generate interesting returns on investment, contribute to the development of athletes and national sport and also enhance the image of the country.
