The Ambassador of Haiti to the Kingdom of Spain Louis Marie Montfort Saintil spoke with Anton Leis Garda, Director of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), about the Spanish response in Haiti following the earthquake of August 14 which devastated the southern peninsula.

The Kingdom of Spain has pledged to support the Haitian authorities in the reconstruction of school infrastructure in the Great South, which was badly damaged, in collaboration with UNICEF.

Director Garda, accepted the Ambassador's proposal to visit Haiti soon, took the opportunity to reiterate AECID's commitment to collaborate with the Haitian Government in key areas likely to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the country.
