iciHaiti - Port-de-Paix : The fight against the fuel black market continues

The communication office of Port-de-Paix informs that an 8-point resolution was taken last week to fight against the black market of petroleum products in the town where the gallon can exceed 2,000 gourdes... (10 times the regular price).
Mayor Josué ALUSMA and senior officials of the municipal council, met Me May Gilbert SAINTEL, Deputy Government Commissioner and Commissioner Vital Hernts CAILE of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) to discuss the strategic plan and the resolution that the city has developed to curb the black market.
Everyone came away satisfied with this meeting with a solid resolution already in action. Mayor ALUSMA has promised that arrangements will be made to arrest all citizens who sell gasoline on the black market, and good conditions to refuel the pumps...
