Friday, November 26, 2021, several units of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) of the North, thwarted, thanks to a spinning work, the robbery of a branch of the UNIBANK located at the street 18 A, in Cap-Haitien.

The balance amounts to 6 arrests (2 in the bank and 4 outside), they are :

Dieulisma JEAN (37)

Jean Jonel DAMUS (46)

Joanem Gerson JEAN LOUIS (41, repeat offender)

Laguerre OSCAR, (47, repeat offender)

Mackenson JOSEPH (27)

Willy CADET (31)

Two pistols (a 40 caliber Glock and a MASS 50, 9mm caliber), ammunition, 5 cell phones and 2 vehicles were seized among others.

According to the Departmental Directorate of PNH North, these individuals were specialized in robbing customers returning from banks and were preparing to rob the bank. They are also suspected of having shot the Reverend René Sylvestre https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-34682-icihaiti-cap-haitien-the-reverend-father-andre-sylvestre-killed-by-bandits.html when he had just completed a bank transaction on September 6th.
