iciHaiti - Cooperation : Signature of an agreement between the Center d'Art and Switzerland

The Center d'Art (Art Center) and the Embassy of Switzerland in Haiti are pleased to announce the signing of a collaboration agreement between the two institutions.

Aware of the importance of the role of culture in strengthening social cohesion and the development of the country, the Embassy of Switzerland in Haiti has decided to provide a financial support of 50,000 US dollars as part of the Support program for artistic creation, implemented by the Center d'Art.

To meet the objective of supporting and accompanying talents, a call for proposals totaling $ 35,000 will be launched in January 2022 for artists in the visual arts sector in Haiti.

In addition, and this to promote access to art and enhance our artistic heritage, a large-scale exhibition entitled "Vives" will be presented at Maison Dufort, from January 15 to February 13, 2022. Designed by the curator of exhibition Régine Cuzin, this exhibition which will be held in partnership with the Association Quatre Chemins, the Festival Quatre Chemins will present the works of women artists from the permanent collections of the Centre d'Art and the Musée d’Art Haïtien (Haitian Art Museum).
