Friday, February 25, 2022, the Haitian Copyright Office (BHDA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of Haiti (CCAH) on the settlement of intellectual property disputes.

The purpose of this protocol is to establish a partnership between the two institutions with a view to handling copyright disputes and promoting alternative methods of resolving disputes in this area.

The BHDA intends to transfer to the CCAH, which accepts it, all disputes relating to copyrights submitted by artists, authors, and in general : holders of intellectual property rights.

"The signing of this agreement, which establishes institutional collaboration, is a historic act," according to Emmelie Prophet, Minister of Culture.
