iciHaiti - 2022 Caribbean Games : Bad start for Haiti (partial results)

As part of the Caribbean Games which takes place from June 29 to July 3 in Gosier in Guadeloupe, Haiti is competing in 3 disciplines Women's basketball 3 X 3, cycling and Judo and the adventure started badly.

Women's basketball 3 X 3:

Friday 12:30 p.m., our national team in Group A, coached by Garry Danastor, lost in its first match against Trinidad and Tobago [10-7], a defeat that hurt the blue and red in this competition.

Saturday, July 2 (12:15 p.m.) at the Boisripeaux sports complex, our girls faced Guadeloupe, without more success. Suffering a second defeat [15-7]

But without in the 3rd and last pool match that our national team which faced the Dominican Republic experienced the heaviest defeat [20-9] which sealed their elimination from the competition.

Cycling:

Friday, in the men's time trial over a distance of 20.6 km, 2 Haitians Odvelt Clergé and Fedler Staco out of 28 runners competed. An event won by André Lubin Yannis (Guadeloupe) in 27 mins 20 seconds and 2/100

Odvelt Clergé finished in 12th position in 30 minutes 30 seconds and 29/100 and Fedler Staco 21st place in 32 minutes 39 seconds and 63/100

Among the girls, Louisemene Georges finished in 12th place by pedaling the 5 laps of the road race over a distance of 66 km with a time of 2h 21'07.

Note that the other representative of the Haitian delegation, Ruth Daëlle Staco who took part in the online race finished in last place in the general classification.
