iciHaiti - NOTICE : Reform of certain Faculties and options at UPNCH
The Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the Public University of the North in Cap-Haitien (UPNCH) informs that it has decided to delay until further notice the registration for the admission competition for a new cohort of first-year students for the History and Geography option for the 2022-2023 academic year.

This decision was taken as part of the evaluation and restructuring of this option. The Dean's office plans to no longer issue licenses in History and Geography to students of this option, as has been done for a long time. But now in History or Geography depending on the course chosen at the start by the students.

In addition, these courses will be reoriented to meet the demands of society, in particular the new secondary. However, it is important to note that students who are currently in History and Geography will have their diplomas in History and Geography as before.

The dean takes this opportunity to draw the attention of the university community to the fact that next year it intends to tackle the problems of the Mathematics and Physics option. It will therefore no longer be a question of issuing licenses in Mathematics and Physics at the same time, but in Physical Sciences or Mathematics separately according to the course chosen initially by the students. Professors and executives of the University are currently working to achieve this reform.

The Dean wishes to remind students who let themselves be manipulated by individuals who want to disturb the university space in order to keep the "status quo", that a scientific discipline can be modified and changed, at any time, by the leaders of the University according to the needs of science and society.

Pending the implementation of this reform, the Dean's Office encourages students to respect their limits and the principles that govern the functioning of the University.
