Tuesday, August 16, 2022, agents of the Departmental Service of the Judicial Police (SDPJ) and the Departmental Unit for the Maintenance of Order (UDMO) of the South-East proceeded to Monchil, an area of the city of Jacmel, to the arrest of Mathieu Thomas (22) and Albert Laury, both members of "400 Mawozo".

During their first hearing by SDPJ South East investigators, Mathieu Thomas and Albert Laury confirmed that they were members of the "400 Mawozo" gang group led by "Lanmò San Jou".

Albert explained that he is part of the group of gangs commanded by "Ygrecque" so known, based in Cité Doudoune;

Mathieu Thomas confessed that he is part of the well-known Ricardo band, based in "Nan Remy".

The two individuals confirmed that all gang leaders in Cité Doudoune and Nan Remy were placed under the authority of "Lanmo San Jou".

The National Police seeks, once again, the collaboration of the population and asks citizens to be vigilant in relation to the movement of suspected criminals who seek to flee the Haitian capital to take refuge in other regions of the country.
