iciHaiti - Insecurity : The Dominican Republic closes its embassy and consulates in Haiti

Thursday, September 15, 2022, the Dominican Republic decided to close its Embassy in Port-au-Prince as well as its 4 Consulates in Haiti (Anse-à-Pitres, Belladère, Cap Haitien and Ouanaminthe) due to the socio-political crisis and of the increase in violence Haiti.
As part of this measure, all civilian personnel and diplomatic were also evacuated.
Only special forces will remain to protect the premises.
The heliport of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic has been authorized to remain open in order to assist other foreign missions that must leave the country.
