iciHaiti - PNH : Arrest of the powerful Gang Leader of Canaan 90

The powerful gang leader of Canaan 90, Jonès Firmin (40), alias "Timèt" from the commune "Les Anglais" was arrested on Wednesday October 19, 2022 in the locality of Pierre Payen (commune of St Marc). He is accused, among other things, of involvement in the assassination of Jean Claude Desravaine, an employee of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) who was burned alive by Timèt's men.

During his arrest Jonès Firmin was accompanied by Pierre John Peter, a native of Saint-Marc.

Thursday, October 20, as part of the operations carried out by the Departmental Directorate of the West-II of the Police in order to restore order and peace in the commune of Tabarre, an armed individual, traveling on board a Nissan Frontier, blue, was fatally injured in exchanges of fire with the police, in the area of Truitier.
