Tuesday, November 1st, a 4-year-old Haitian child died burned alive in the house where he lived in the community of Los Miches in Dajabón.

Arriving quickly on the scene, the fire department units in front of the violence of the flames could only contain the fire and prevent the spread to neighboring houses. The victim's father and another of his 9-year-old children managed to get out of the furnace. Burned to varying degrees, they were rushed to the Ramón Matías Mella Hospital where they received first aid.

The house of this Haitian family was completely destroyed by fire.

The National Police have opened an investigation. According to the first information, several gallons containing fuel were stored in the house, probably intended to supply clandestinely the black market in Haiti. A candle could be the cause of the accident.
