On the night of November 4 to 5, 2022, in Gros-Morne (Artibonite Dept.) a truck that left Acul for Port-au-Prince, with food and madan Sara on board, overturned was trying to cross Trois-Rivières when part of the old Dumesle bridge gave way under the weight of the truck (according to testimonies). Let's remember that this bridge, built under the presidency of Jean Pierre Boyer, was badly damaged and weakened following the heavy rains of March 2022...

According to the interim executive agent, Hubert Céneac, the delay in the restoration of the bridge, despite the promises of the Government, is responsible for this tragedy.

The toll is heavy on a total of 16 passengers, are counted 9 dead and 6 injured, several of them seriously, who were rushed to the Alma Mater hospital in the commune.
