More than a hundred people, including Dominicans and Haitians, have been arrested in the community of Don Miguel de Dajabón, where they were using their vehicles to smuggle fuel into Haiti.

Following work by the intelligence services of the Dominican army (G2). A vast joint operation was carried out with the participation of agents from CECCOM, the Dominican organization specializing in the control of trade in fuels and goods, soldiers from the Specialized Land Border Security Corps (CESFRONT) and the Public Prosecutor's Office.

More than 30 vehicles were also seized (cars, pick-ups and trucks), as well as dozens of motorcycles. A large number of fuel containers and large sums of money were also seized.

A significant amount of gallons of fuel was recovered.

The arrested persons and the seized vehicles, together with the recovered fuel, were taken to the fortress of Beller de Dajabón for the corresponding purposes and submitted to the action of justice.
