Friday, November 4th, 2022, the General Consultat of Haiti in Paris, inaugurated its new system for electronic management of requests and delivery of passports in the presence of more than twenty members of the Haitian community in France.

During this ceremony, the Consultat unveiled the technological devices for biometric capture and registration (digital cameras, light ring, computers, fingerprint readers) directly connected to the network of the Directorate of Immigration and immigration to Port-au-Prince.

With the implementation of this new system, the consular post is challenging itself to reduce the time for issuing a passport to less than two months instead of 6 months to 1 year as evidenced by requests from compatriots who until now had to deal with a quasi-dysfunctional passport delivery system...

With this new device, James Jules device, the Minister Counselor and Head of Post, said "[...] the Consulate is able to deliver a passport in less than two months". As for urgent passport applications, they "will be available within 15 days."
