iciHaiti - Petion-ville : Kidnap attempt foiled

Early Sunday morning, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) thwarted a kidnapping attempt on rue Rigaud in Petion-Ville. During the police intervention, two alleged kidnappers were fatally injured in exchanges of fire with the police.

An AR-15 rifle was seized as well as the kidnappers' white Nissan Patrol registration AA-08354. Three other license plates were found inside the vehicle.

It should be recalled that as part of the end-of-year celebrations and following the instructions of Commander-in-Chief Frantz Elbé, measures have been taken in all police jurisdictions to strengthen the police presence in the streets.
