iciHaiti - Binational Cultural Dialogue : «Jazz à 4 Temps»
Because jazz breaks down barriers and stimulates intercultural dialogue, the "Binational Cultural Dialogue" project, which aims to strengthen binational collaboration in the field of culture and communication, includes it in an important section entitled «Jazz à 4 Temps ».

It was in November 2022 that the first phase of this Jazz component began with the programming within the "Dominican Republic Jazz Festival" in Cabarete of the Haitian Creole jazz group, Joel & Mushy Widmaier. In the second time, the Haiti Jazz Foundation brought together, with the complicity of the Dominican jazz expert, Fernando Rodriguez, connoisseurs and Dominican jazz musicians (Oscar Micheli, Jhon Mattez, Alexis Mendez) in order to ask them questions on the functioning, history, evolution and specificities of jazz on this side of the island.

The 3rd time "Playing together in the Dominican Republic, Dominican (Jhon Martez and Darroll Mendez) and Haitian (Joel and Mushy Widmaier, Daniel Regis and Marie-Francia Sterlin) jazz musicians prepare to offer a joint musical performance of jazz standards, in the "Quisqueya Jazz Project", on January 7, 2023 at Casa de Teatro, a key space located in the colonial zone since it hosts the Santo Domingo Jazz Festival every year.

Finally, the 4th time, as part of the 16th edition of the PAPJAZZ Festival, scheduled exceptionally in Cap Haitien on January 20 and 21, 2023, will close not only the jazz component but also the "Binational Cultural Dialogue" since Amine Rodriguez, young guitarist and Dominican singer, will be the guest of Gwolobo, a musical project that mixes traditional Haitian and electronic music, and that will be presented the documentary on Dominican jazz.
