In its 2022 report, the Haitian Basketball Federation (FHB), welcomed the achievements it has made despite the precarious and difficult situation in the country.

Summary of the 2022 balance sheet :

In Port-au-Prince, 20 officials were trained in 3×3 refereeing.

Training sessions for aspirants and beginners in 3×3 also took place in Port-de-Paix and Saint Marc in December 2022. Some schools in the capital have also integrated this program.

Various inter-school championships have been organised. For the municipality of Port-au-Prince, Petit Séminaire College Saint Martial was crowned champion. Saint-Louis de Gonzague won the championship which took place in the commune of Delmas and the Don Bosco college won the competition disputed in the commune of Pétion-ville.

National teams have also participated in several international tournaments. The national women's team U23 3×3 played the Caribbean Cup in June 2022, without success. The senior men's selection participated in the Americaup 3×3, in Miami in the United States in November 2022.

For 2023, the FHB will focus not only on 3×3 basketball, but also on 5×5 basketball.

In addition, a Women's 3×3 basketball league should be organized this year. No start date was disclosed in this press release.

In addition, preparations are well underway for the participation of national teams in the Caribbean Cup of basketball 5×5 and the Americaup 3×3.
