A bandit identified as Saint Jean Louvensky has been arrested by the police in Mirebalais for his involvement in acts of kidnapping, assassination and robbery committed in Tabarre and Croix-des-Bouquets.

During his arrest, the police found in his possession nearly 63,000 Gourdes, 16 phones of different brands, 1 laptop, several tablets and a professional digital camera.

In addition, the police arrested in Saint-Marc, Fleurival Mendy, alias "Windy" (27 years old), a member of a gang led by Wiforde from the commune of Grande Saline (Artibonite Dept.) while he was in aboard a small boat bound for Grande Saline. Meny's mission was to supply ammunition to the gangs of the commune.
