Friday, February 10, 2023, Frantz Elbé, the Director General a.i. of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) met with the Ambassador of France in Haiti, Fabrice Mauriès, within the framework of the cooperation existing between the French Police and the PNH.

During this meeting, the strengthening of the operational capacity of the PNH in order to effectively fight against gangs was also discussed.

Faced with the deterioration of the situation in the metropolitan area, France has decided to significantly increase its bilateral cooperation effort with the PNH in 2023. The fight against gangs by the intervention units will be at the heart of this cooperation plan.
