On Sunday April 23, 2023, members of the population of the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac organized a peaceful march for security.

Sympathetic demonstrators showed that they were with the National Police of Haiti (PNH) in the fight against banditry and issued warnings to bandits who seek to terrorize the population.

The Bon Repos Police professionally secured this peaceful march. Police officers from the Intervention Brigade of the Bon Repos sub-police station accompanied the demonstrators throughout the course.

That same day in Pétion-ville, the population had also carried out a march for security and peace without incident under police protection. Several residents welcomed the multiplication of operations launched in recent weeks by the PNH against armed gangs, particularly in the heights of Pétion-ville (Laboule, Thomassin).

The PNH said it was convinced that good collaboration between the police and the population is absolutely necessary to effectively combat organized crime in the country.
