Nearly 128,000 Displaced Persons Interns (IDPs) live in the Metropolitan Area of Port-au-Prince. According to these assessments, most IDPs are hosted in host communities (with family members, friends, acquaintances). However, a decrease in the number of IDPs in host communities was observed, compared to the previous year, while an increase in IDPs living in spontaneous sites (reception centers, temples, churches, schools or spaces in the open air) has been observed.
