The National Old-Age Insurance Office (ONA) informs the police officers in particular, voluntarily enrolled in the ONA-POLIS program, that the General Directorate of the ONA continues to give its best attention to the requests for payday loans produced by the Directorate General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) for the benefit of the latter as part of the implementation of the program. The last meeting held for this purpose with the Program Manager for the PNH took place on August 4th.

In this context, driven by a deep concern to carry out the process of processing these files, the General Management regrets that on Monday August 7, 2023 around 7:00 a.m. a group of hooded individuals, wearing the uniform of the National Police of Haiti, under cover of claims, have created a climate of violence and panic in the immediate perimeter of the Institution to prevent employees from having access to it.

The National Old-Age Insurance Office (ONA) takes the opportunity to draw the attention of the police authorities to these facts and assures those concerned that it will continue to process the files with calm and serenity.
