iciHaiti - Dominican Rep. : 3 Haitians sentenced to 15 years in prison for raping and torturing two women
The judges of the First Collegiate Court of Santiago in the Dominican Republic sentenced to 15 years in prison each, three men of Haitian nationality who had tortured and raped in turn two women whose hands and feet they had tied, gagged them and threatened with death with firearms, after breaking into the house where the victims were sleeping in the La Ciénaga sector, north of Santiago, during the events that occurred in October 2019.

Magistrates Me Wendy Tavárez, Me Deyanira Méndez and Me Claribel Mateo after a long investigation found conclusive evidence in the accusation against Gile Ademar (or Yene Adimar); Jackson Pierre (Jacson Pierre) and Joseph Vixamar alias “Vicsama”, presented by the Santiago Public Prosecutor's Office, represented at the hearing by the prosecutor Me Jenniffer Rodríguez (Public Ministry)

In her plea before the court, the prosecutor stressed that the 3 men were accused of criminal association with a view to committing gender-based violence, acts of torture and barbaric acts, sexual rape with the use of firearms and aggravated robberies against two women, whose identities have not been revealed to avoid their re-victimization and respect their right to privacy.

After their crime, the 3 accused fled, taking household appliances and a motorcycle, among other things...
