iciHaiti - Diaspora : The Embassy of Haiti in Ottawa launched its first reading club

Friday February 23, 2024, the Haitian Embassy in Ottawa (Canada) launched its first reading club in the Mission conference room. Around ten readers met to discuss "The Enigma of Return" by Haitian-Canadian writer Dany Laferrière, member of the Académie française.
In a warm atmosphere, the participants, for more than an hour, examined the different themes addressed in this moving poetic work which transports the reader on an exciting and intimate journey through Haiti.
The initiative to set up a reading club at the Embassy aims to highlight the works of Haitian authors and to allow compatriots and friends of Haiti to strengthen their ties with Haiti through literature.
