The Government in reference to the Order of March 6, 2024 establishing a state of emergency throughout the West department for a period of one month, from Thursday March 7 to Wednesday April 3rd, 2024, and in order to restore order and take appropriate measures to regain control of the situation, extends the curfew throughout this territory, from Sunday March 17 to Wednesday March 20, 2024, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

This measure does not apply to law enforcement officers on duty, firefighters, ambulance drivers, health personnel and duly identified journalists.

Let's remember that during the state of emergency period, all demonstrations on public roads are prohibited, day or night, in the West department.

Consequently, the police were ordered to use all legal means at their disposal to enforce the curfew and apprehend all offenders.
