iciHaiti - Installation : Ms. Devalis Octavius Minister of Youth and Sports
Madame Devalis Octavius ​​was installed as Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action by Chancellor Dominique Dupuy.

The new Minister of Sports becomes the 4th woman to occupy this position. In her speech she highlighted her long career at the ministry during which she collaborated with the offices of Ministers and Secretary of State, was assistant coordinator of the Evaluation and Programming Unit (UEP), responsible for monitoring of public investment projects, responsible for stewardship at the "National Institute of Youth and Sports Sciences" (INJESS), manager of sports centers among others... She is also the national coordinator of "Kanari Fanm Eklere", a group that campaigns for women's rights.

Ms. Octavius ​​considers her appointment as a victory for the unions who demanded a Ministry Executive for this position. She declared, having accepted with humility and pride the colossal work to be accomplished while advocating dialogue and consultation with a view to strengthening public services in the sector and transforming limitations into opportunities

Born in Jacmel, she studied at Collège Catts Pressoir. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management Science from the Moroccan University Mohammed Premier Oujda and a Master's degree in Political Science from the L'Ouverture Institute for Diplomacy & Global affairs (LIDGA). She also studied at the National Diplomatic and Consular Academy (ANDC).
