Note of sympathy from the FIFA President : "[...] It is with great sadness and deep emotion that I learned of the death of Serge Ducosté https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-42707-icihaiti-obituary-grenadier-serge-ducoste-passed-away.html , former international player and legend of Haitian football. Selected numerous times for the national team, Serge Ducosté notably participated in the FIFA World Cup in 1974. During his club career, he defended the colors of only one club, Aigle Noir AC, of which he was its emblematic captain. Legend of Haitian football and the Aigle Noir AC, defensive pillar of the Grenadiers recognized for his mastery and charisma, his legacy and his achievements, on and off the field, will not be forgotten and we will all miss him greatly. On behalf of the international football community, I would like to express our deepest sympathy to the Haitian Football Federation, as well as to the family, friends and loved ones of Serge Ducosté.
