"The Municipal Commission of Cap-Haïtien wishes to remind residents and visitors of the commune that, in accordance with the municipal decree published on January 4th, 2021, strict measures concerning the circulation and parking of vehicles are in effect.

This Municipal Decree formally prohibits the parking of vehicles, the establishment of garages and the washing of cars in the open air in the historic city center, in the two entrances to the city and on Cap-Haïtien Boulevard.

Parking on the Sidewalks :

The parking of heavy goods vehicles, including trucks, cars, containers, buses, tractors, and others, is strictly prohibited in unauthorized areas. Any vehicle violating this rule will be immediately towed and the owner will be liable to a fine ranging from 25,000 to 30,000 Gourdes to be able to recover his vehicle.

Establishing Garages and Outdoor Washing :

The establishment of garages and outdoor car washing in the commune are also prohibited. Any non-compliant activity will be sanctioned.

These measures aim to improve traffic, safety and cleanliness in our commune. We therefore call for everyone's cooperation to respect these provisions, which are essential to maintain a pleasant and orderly environment in Cap-Haïtien.
