iciHaiti - Diplomacy : 4 new Ambassadors accredited
On Thursday, September 19, 2024, Edgard Leblanc Fils, rotating President of the Transitional Council, presided over the ceremony at the Villa d’accueil, for the presentation of credentials formalizing the appointment and accreditation of 4 ambassadors to Haiti : André François Giroux, as Ambassador of Canada, Dennis Bruce Hankins as Ambassador of the United States, Antoine Michon, as Ambassador of the French Republic, and Chen Chao-Hu as Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China).

During the meeting that followed the ceremony, French Ambassador Antoine Michon and members of the CPT discussed the prospects for strengthening bilateral relations.

For his part, American Ambassador Dennis Bruce Hankins said he was determined to strengthen the partnership between the United States and Haiti

For his part, Canadian Ambassador André François Giroux, said that his country is pleased with the progress made by the CPT towards a return to security and elections.

Ambassador HU of Taiwan, conveyed the warmest greetings of President Ching-Te LAI to the President and members of the CPT, while reaffirming his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two Nations.
