With reference to the Decree of May 23, 1989 in its articles 1 and 2 determining the National Holidays and the Legal Holidays, Marie E. Régine Joseph Haddad Secretary General a.i. of the Presidency reminds the attention of the agents of the Civil Service and the private sector that the Public Administration, Commerce, Industry and Schools will be closed on the day of the Commemoration of the death of Emperor Jean-Jacques Dessalines on Thursday, October 17, 2024 throughout the national territory.
